So you want to start cooking more. You know it’s healthier and are pretty sure it’s cheaper. But you have no idea where to start nor do you want the “learning to cook process” take a long time. You’re busy. You’ve got important things to do today. Don’t worry, I get it. I’ve been there.
Sometimes you search “easy recipe for [anything you could possibly be craving]” on Google or #easyrecipes on Instagram. Immediately you’re attacked by a seemingly endless stream of recipes and pictures all declaring that this recipe is the best recipe. How in the world do you choose?
What if you don’t have to.
I don’t declare to have found the recipe for the best cream of broccoli soup or the ultimate summer salad, because I acknowledge that recipes are subjective (although I do think my recipes are pretty-flipping great). We all have different taste buds which means we all have different criteria for what makes a recipe the best.
That’s why I created this “Where to Start” section. Instead of recipes, it provides templates for how to create dishes such as salads, stir-frys, and soups along with ingredient lists to get your creative juices flowing. Follow one of the provided ingredient lists and you will create something amazing, tweak it based on your favorite ingredients and you will create your version of the best dish you’ve ever had.
